When I was recovering from a vocal injury and trying to get back into live performing, one of the first things I did was look for open mic opportunities in Saskatoon.
That’s when I came across Bloom Entertainment, who host an open mic every Friday at Finn’s Irish Pub. Having experienced it myself, I would highly recommend it to any singer, musician, or independent artist looking to get some stage time and connect with other musicians in Saskatoon.
Why I Recommend Bloom Entertainment’s Open Mic
Getting back on stage after a vocal injury was a big step for me. I wanted to ease myself back into live performing, get some exposure, and perhaps even record a few live performance videos.
An open mic is a great way to do all of that.
Whether you’re a singer-songwriter, a musician who plays covers, or someone who’s just starting out and wants to perform in front of an audience, open mic nights can be a really valuable experience.
What I particularly liked about Bloom Entertainment was the friendly environment. It’s a great opportunity to meet other musicians, network, talk about potential gigs and promotions, or simply enjoy performing.
I first got to know Bloom Entertainment through a friend who works with them. I also reached out to them through social media, and the experience was very positive. They’re friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to.
If you’re a musician in Saskatoon looking to grow, get some live performance experience, or just spend an evening around other people who enjoy music, I’d definitely recommend checking them out.
Finn’s Irish Pub: A Great Place to Enjoy Live Music
The open mic nights are hosted at Finn’s Irish Pub, which is also a place I genuinely enjoy visiting.
I’m vegetarian, so my usual order is their Beyond Meat burger with fries and a Shirley Temple. I’d highly recommend it!
They also serve a little special salad on the side, which, I’m not even going to lie, I sometimes enjoy more than the burger itself.
It’s a nice place to spend an evening, enjoy some food, and listen to live music.
How to Get Involved
If you’re a musician or singer looking to perform at an open mic in Saskatoon, Bloom Entertainment is worth checking out.
You can reach out to them through their Instagram or TikTok pages and book a spot. It’s that simple.
The fact that they host an open mic every Friday means there’s a regular opportunity to get on stage, meet other musicians, and build your confidence as a performer.
And if you’re visiting Saskatoon from somewhere else, like Regina, and you’re looking for an open mic to participate in while you’re here, this could be a great opportunity as well.
A Genuine Recommendation for Saskatoon Musicians
This isn’t a paid promotion. I’m writing about Bloom Entertainment simply because I had a good experience with them and think other musicians could benefit from it too.
As an independent singer in Saskatoon, I know how important it is to find opportunities to perform, connect with other artists, and get your music out there.
Whether you’re an experienced performer or someone who’s just looking to try an open mic for the first time, I’d encourage you to check out Bloom Entertainment at Finn’s Irish Pub.
You might meet some great people, discover new music, or simply have a really good evening.
And who knows? Maybe I’ll see you there.
